Meet Mollie, Clinical Director of NYBRA’S Patient Empowerment Program

Mollie Sugarman is the Clinical Director of NYBRA’s Patient Empowerment Program that focuses on the psychosocial components related to undergoing mastectomy and breast reconstruction as a result of a cancer diagnosis or for risk reducing purposes. NYBRA’s co-founders, Dr. Randall Feingold and Dr. Ron Israeli along with Mollie, pioneered the integrative approach nearly 13 years ago and, at the time, ASPS deemed it a model for all practices. Mollie brings over forty-five years of her extensive clinical background in private practice and as an instructor of psychiatry at NY Medical College to the practice. She also developed a unique wellness program that included support at the time of diagnosis.

She is passionate about her work and strongly believes that a nurturing environment, that provides tools for both the patient and their caretaker, is vital to both physical and emotional restoration.
